Squarespace Template Customization

You've bought a Squarespace template but it looks like everyone else's. We customise Squarespace templates with custom CSS, code injection, custom fonts and section-level styling to give you a bespoke visual identity while keeping the CMS your team already knows.

Why this matters
  • Custom CSS injected via the code editor
  • Bespoke typography with self-hosted or Google fonts
  • Custom section styling per template
  • Custom header, footer and mobile menu
  • Advanced animations via JavaScript injection

How far customisation can go

With Custom CSS + Code Injection, most visual limitations disappear — custom headers, animated hero sections, colour theming, typography scales, custom form styling and interactive elements. What we can't do: change the underlying template engine or add server-side logic.

Keeping customisations upgrade-safe

We namespace all custom CSS with a project prefix, keep a documented codebase in Git, and version every code injection so future Squarespace updates don't overwrite work. Your team can safely edit content without touching the customisations.

Frequently asked questions

  • Rarely — Squarespace maintains strong backwards compatibility. Well-namespaced CSS and defensive JavaScript survive updates for years.

  • Yes, but we always recommend upgrading to 7.1 first — 7.0 is legacy and less flexible.
